We believe that direct interaction with the natural environment is crucial for children's development. Our Beach School program, designed for children over two, provides these enriching experiences in small, engaging groups at our local beaches. 

Beach School days are filled with exploration! Children journey by minibus to our local beaches, Shoreham or Worthing, where they meet up with friends from Happy Steps or Little Elms nursery for a morning of shared discovery.

The beach sparks curiosity and leads to fascinating discussions among the children. We create a collaborative storybook to document their learning and experiences, allowing them to reflect on their adventures. Due to the small group size, each older pre-schooler enjoys a Beach School session approximately once a month

Beach School is offered at no extra cost, and to enhance the experience, we've secured a beach hut in Worthing for shelter during less favourable weather. We anticipate most children will be eager to participate, but we fully respect your decision if you prefer your child not to attend.​

Forest School for the over 3s (entirely optional)
From September to July, children aged 3+ can join our Forest School program. We take them on minibus adventures to our local woodland and Wood’s Mill, where they discover the wonders of nature and develop their self-esteem.

Forest School fosters a profound connection with nature, allowing children to experience seasonal changes first hand. It also equips them with valuable skills like risk assessment, independent problem-solving, and collaborative teamwork. Children often bring their woodland discoveries and projects back to the nursery, extending their learning indoors.

Following each session, we create a storybook to preserve the children's memories and allow parents and carers to share in their remarkable woodland adventures.​
